Mount Tam with Pieter

Pieter, a unicycle friend from the Netherlands, is spending a month traveling around the American West, and checked in on whether any locals would be up for a ride. As usual, you don’t have to ask us twice.

Pieter rides long distances on gravel, so we decided to head over to climb Mount Tam via Old Railroad Grade, on a day with dramatic fog and clouds on the mountainside.

Pieter’s from a country which doesn’t have hills, so the climb was a stretch for him, but he kept a smile on.

It was Josh’s last ride for a while, as he’s headed to Asia for a month.

The descent, of course, was more fun than the climb.

Pieter won both Best Biff and First Blood, trying to keep his 29×125 under control. Good job going for it!
